About

The Dutch agricultural sector has several challenge: a strong increase in scale, climate change, a decline in arable land due to soil compaction of heavy machinery, declining availability of labor and stricter environmental legislation. Solutions are being sought in the use of small, autonomous machines (agrobots) that can take over specific tasks from farmers.

The focus of the HTES centre of expertise in this project is on:

  • Modeling autonomous agro robots, in which the decision logic for cooperation between agrobot is modeled. Application of reinforcement learning.
  • Tool workflow for co-simulation. An open environment in which tools like Dezyne, Simulink are included. Application via a software pipeline.
  • Involvement in the development of Use case cooperative harvest removal robots.
