Sensing the Beehive

Sensing the Beehive

Two prototypes of sensornetworks were developing second half of 2018 and delivered by two groups of Fontys ICT students beginning of 2019. One of these systems is elaborated first half of 2019 by a third studentgroup. Measurements are done by temperature sensors connected to an ESP32 and a mobile app is used to present the data.

This initiative started as the BATMAN project within Fontys ICT and sponsored by the HTSM Research Group. Sensing the Beehive is the starting point for the Centre of Expertise to work on biodiversity in a project submission in NWA. This initiative is led by Gerard Schouten (Big data).
