'Zelf aan de slag' is a one-day workshop on cybersecurity. It is developed by researchers and students of Fontys ICT in cooperation with TNO. It focuses on professionals in industrial automation. The hands-on workshop aims at providing security guidelines to operators. These operators work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or e.g., with industrial PCs or SCADA systems. The workshop provides them in a practical way with guidelines how to make their own company systems secure. The workshop consists of a set of short presentations, e.g., on the state-of-the-art of cybersecurity in industrial automation, a standard for data exchange in the industrial IoT (OPC-UA) and the hardware platform at use in the workshop RevPi. Several workshops were provide, e.g., at Duurzaamheidsfabriek in Dordrecht and at Region of Smart Industries in Groningen.
The research for this workshop is about finding cyber security guidelines for practioners. These guidelines should be applicable as well should be relevant to cover security of connect devices.
The workshop is a cooperation of the HTES research group and TNO for the Smart Industry field lab Smart Industry.
